Catholic Healthcare is a leading not for profit Aged Care provider. We’re looking to do things differently to support our vision of delivering as an innovative provider of Aged Care, offering independent living that extends to Assisted Living, Hospitality, Hotel and Concierge services.

**The Opportunity**:
Reporting to the **Senior Manager Retirement Living,** you'll be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the communities in accordance with NSW Retirement Villages Act and our organisational policies and procedures.

**The Communities**:
Stage 1 of St Hedwig Retirement village is scheduled to open later this year. Consisting of 72 spacious apartments with a community centre in the heart of the village dedicated to resident wellness and social activities. The position will require you to establish the village, prior to opening and liaise and assist residents with their transition into the village. Emmaus Retirement Village is a wonderful, established village set in beautiful bushland surrounds with 23 units. An exceptional opportunity exists for an experienced village manager to make an impact by engaging with residents in our communities and to foster our teams driven by passion for our residents.

**Day to day for you this will look like**:

- Actively promoting and supporting Catholic Healthcare’s mission to promote the life and spirituality of older people through connected and inclusive communities
- Co-ordination of all retirement village operations, meeting with residents and resident committees.
- Financial management of village budget
- Assisting residents to maintain their optimum degree of independence, dignity, privacy, choice and quality of life & maintaining effective inter-personal relations with residents and their families
- Ensuring our villages are safe and risk free
- Compliance with all policies and procedures and statutory and regulatory requirements

**To be successful in this role you will have/be**:

- High level written and verbal communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong focus on customer satisfaction.
- Knowledge of the NSW Retirement Villages legislation.
- Budget and management experience to ensure overall financial management of the village.
- Intermediate skills using the Microsoft suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Previous experience in retirement living or hospitality
- Empathy and understanding of the needs of residents' and their families
- Self-motivated with the ability to prioritise to achieve KPI's
- Fully Vaccinated against COVID-19
