Due to our commitment to safety and on-going improvement of our network, we have a **permanent full-time opportunity **for a Manager Track Assets.** **The Manager Track Assets role effectively coordinates the integrated planning of asset management activities within the area of responsibility by developing strategic and operational plans and effectively managing the planning, scheduling and auditing activities.

**Overview of day-to-day responsibilities**:

- Lead a team of planners and track inspectors.
- Responsible for strategic decision making, prioritisation and approval of asset renewals and maintenance works.
- Management of track assets and authorisation of major works requests.
- Chairing meetings of forward works planning for corridor.
- Assisting with developing corridor plans and maintenance strategies.
- Building strong working relationships across the business including regular visits to work sites.

**What you will bring to the role**:

- Engineering background is preferrable.
- Previous experience in track maintenance/asset management is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of CMMS is highly desirable (SAP/ELEIP)
- Strong communication skills and proven ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with all levels of the business.
- Management background with a proven ability to lead and influence.
