Experienced Baker

French Tarts Wholesale Bakery is seeking an experienced baker to join our team. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for producing high-quality baked goods, including French tarts, croissants, and other pastry items. We are looking for a skilled baker with a passion for creating delicious and beautiful baked goods.
- 30+ hours per week
- Shifts 6am - 2:30pm OR 2pm - 10:30pm

**Responsibilities**:

- Prepare dough and batter according to established recipes and techniques.
- Roll out dough, shape pastries, and fill tarts with fruit, cream, and other fillings.
- Monitor baking process and adjust temperature and cooking times as needed.
- Decorate pastries with glazes, icing, and toppings.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following health and safety guidelines.
- Order and stock supplies as needed.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure timely production and delivery of baked goods.

**Requirements**:

- 3+ years of experience as a baker, with experience in French pastry preferred.
- Knowledge of pastry techniques and baking equipment.
- Ability to read and follow recipes, adjust recipes as needed, and troubleshoot baking issues.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality baked goods.
- Flexibility to work early morning shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods of time, lift up to 20kg, and work in a hot environment.

**Salary**: $28.00 - $42.80 per hour
