Manager, Prudential Assurance

**How will I help?**

As a Manager, in the 2nd Line Prudential Assurance team, you will work with stakeholders across all Westpac Divisions and Lines of Business, key business partners including Group Audit, external audit, Divisional Chief Risk Officer (CRO) and other 2nd Line teams. You will be responsible for the delivery of 2nd Line Prudential Assurance reviews over Westpac Prudential Standards and Reporting Standards in accordance with the annual plan, and generate key risk insights on the effective design and operation of controls to meet our Prudential obligations to APRA. In this role, you will be part of a team of assurance risk professionals delivering on the Prudential Assurance Annual Plan by carrying out assurance activities in line with the Assurance methodology and Prudential Management Policy.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Effective scoping and stakeholder engagement for each prudential assurance activity.
- Execute reviews and testing controls for design and operating effectiveness to meet prudential obligations/requirements and assessing whether prudential risks are appropriately managed.
- Timely completion of testing, reporting of prudential issues and issue remediation testing to a high quality standard.
- Identify ongoing enhancements to the Prudential Assurance testing approach, stakeholder engagement and review planning.

**What do I need?**

You will be Inquisitive, Adaptive, Positive, Courageous, Decisive, Delivery focused with a passion for risk You will demonstrate 5 years of assurance or internal audit experience, with this experience ideally come from a financial service organisation. Knowledge or experience in using data analytics in executing assurance reviews or Technology audit/ assurance experience is desired.

Other skills important to be successful in the role include:

- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence and negotiate.
- Strong problem solving and time management skills.
- Ability to interpret Prudential obligation requirements.
- Work as a team with mínimal supervision and positive can do attitude who will hit the ground running.
- Ability to develop and maintaining strong working relationships.
- Adaptable and able to operate effectively in a changing environment and take on new initiatives.
