**About the role**
Working within our longstanding BlueScope Plant Maintenance Contract, an opportunity exists for a **Maintenance Scheduler / Supervisor** to join Ventia and the Coke Plant 2, Coal and Coke Handling team.
Reporting to the Team Leader, the primary focus of the position is to produce and maximise the work schedules, for the effective and safe delivery of routine maintenance work within Coke Plant 2,-Coal and Coke Handling.
In addition, this position supervises the day-to-day running of the integrated maintenance team, by providing safe work methods for job execution, ensuring plant availability, and supervising maintenance tasks, whilst ensuring zero harm (safety and environment).
**Key responsibilities**:
- Scheduling the execution of all maintenance work, including down days, within the BSL SAP system.
- Reviewing SAP for upcoming work orders in each schedule period.
- Reviewing the weekly workload with the Equipment Specialists, Asset Improvement Coordinators, and Team Leader to effectively utilise the existing team resources, and to assess the requirements for supplementary labour.
- Optimising the skill mix within scheduled work to maximise the utilisation and “tool time” of all resources (labour & equipment).
- Ensuring (checking) that spare parts and components are onsite and ready, prior to the work execution date.
- Preparing and releasing job packs that contain quality, safety and all other required information to ensure the job is carried out to the required standard.
- Ensuring the prompt review and “teco” of completed work and associated documentation, where required reschedule any partially completed or incomplete work.
- Maintaining close communication with the maintenance team to review performance and progress to the plan, while also providing effective Supervisory support to any emerging issues or concerns.
