**Your new role**

As the Communications Specialist you will be responsible for establishing and delivering communication strategies and activities including the implementation of community engagement programs.

Key responsibilities include but aren’t limited to:

- Develop & implement all internal and external communications.
- Design & implement internal communication tools including branding guidelines, templates and social sites.
- Advise internal stakeholders on best practice communications and community engagement.
- Develop & nurture stakeholder relationships including government, local councils and community members.
- Delivery of the community engagement strategy including the establishment of relevant programs.
- Coordinate with key partners to ensure consistent communications across multiple media platforms.

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Tertiary qualifications in business, communications or journalism.
- Previous experience in developing and executing communication activities, with experience in a mining organisation highly desired.
- Previous experience in developing and implementing community engagement programs.
- You will have excellent written and verbal communications with a strong ability to develop stakeholder relationships.
- Knowledge of analysis and trend to assist in reporting, guiding decision-making.
- Strong understanding of developing policies and procedures to ensure consistent communications.
