**Your responsibilities will include**:
**About the Role**:
The Operations Analyst will primarily be responsible for the conduct of studies and ad hoc analyses to support various Lockheed Martin teams involved in meeting the needs of Defence customers. This will include the implementation of modelling and simulation frameworks to inform analyses. You will work closely with the Senior Operations Analyst and other assigned staff to develop and deliver relevant advice and analysis to a range of stakeholders. You will cultivate detailed knowledge across a range of relevant topics such as Defence Policy, Military Doctrine, Operational Concepts, Threat Systems, and Analytic Methods in both domestic and international contexts.

**In this role, you will**:

- Work with stakeholders to understand the question(s) to be answered through analysis
- Understand the context of the problem through operational scenarios and functional analysis
- Identify appropriate data and metrics that will be used in the analysis to answer the question(s)
- Establish a fit-for-purpose methodology (qualitative or quantitative) that will permit the analysis to be completed within a relevant timeframe
- Implement modelling and simulation frameworks to provide data to inform the analysis.
- Execute the analysis and report the findings to stakeholders in a format that most effectively conveys the information

**About you**:
**To be successful in this role, you will have**:

- Tertiary qualifications (Bachelor’s degree) in a related discipline from a recognised institution, or equivalent experience
- Understanding of Defence structures, concept and doctrine as well as the operational employment of defence assets
- A strong interest in Operations Analysis / Operations Research including understanding customer needs and formulating them into a comprehensive problem statement for required analyses
- Experience with modelling and simulation as a discipline
- Experience working in an engineering or project environment
- Experience deconstructing complex problems and evaluating alternative solutions to determine best value based on customer-provided performance weightings.
- Experience presenting research or analysis findings to an audience with a broad level of technical expertise.
- Strong communication skills including writing to, speaking with and listening to the Customer
- Current NV1 or Baseline clearance (with eligibility to obtain NV1)
