Exciting Accounts Payable Opportunity with the State Government.
**Your new company**
We have partnered with a government department client to assist in their search for an Accounts Payable Officer. Reporting into the Finance Officer, the role will consist of end to end work along with other accounts payable duties.
This role is based in Fremantle, has a full-time hour requirement and is a 6-month temporary assignment with the possibility of a permanent pool opening. Ideally, you will be immediately available and ready to start as soon as possible.
**Your new role**
As an Accounts Payable Officer, your responsibilities will include:
- End to end AP processing and process payment runs
- Correctly code invoices and comply with all policies
- Manage purchase orders and match to correct invoices
- General ledger reconciliation for month and year-end
- Assist with internal and external audit processes
- Data entry
**What you'll need to succeed**
Previous experience as an Accounts Payable Officer is **essential**, as is:
- Previous end to end AP processing
- Experience using Excel
- Ability to work in a team
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
