Are you an experienced Accounts Payable professional looking for a temporary opportunity to showcase your skills? We are partnering with an ASX listed client based in West Perth, who are seeking a talented Accounts Payable Officer for a temporary assignment lasting 6 to 8 weeks. This is an exceptional chance to work with a reputable organisation and contribute to their finance team.
This role is looking to start in the next week, so you must be immediately available to start work.
**The Role**
- Verifying invoices, purchase orders, and other relevant documents for accuracy and completeness.
- Entering invoice details into the accounting system and maintaining precise records.
- Matching invoices to purchase orders and addressing any discrepancies.
- Facilitating timely payment runs in adherence to established deadlines.
- Reconciling vendor statements and proactively resolving outstanding issues.
- Addressing inquiries from internal stakeholders and vendors regarding payment status and discrepancies.
- Assisting with month-end closing activities related to accounts payable.
**Your Profile**
- Demonstrable experience working in accounts payable, preferably within the resource or related industry.
- Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and best practices.
- Proficiency in using accounting software and systems (experience with Zero is advantageous).
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in processing financial data.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
