Gallagher Bassett’s service delivery model has been built to support holistic and tailored recovery and return to work (RTW) strategies to deliver superior outcomes. Our model focuses on specialisation and segmentation by injury type and claim duration, enabling alignment of the right skillset to the right role. Key features of our model also include:

**The opportunity**:
As Return to Work (RTW) and Recovery Advisor, you will utilise your knowledge of return to work management to support the claims operation by providing strategic recovery and return to work advice and support to injured workers, employers and claims staff. The role will ensure that we achieve optimal recovery and RTW outcomes for those who have suffered an injury at work.

You will partner and collaborate with key stakeholders in the recovery and RTW process and will educate on injury and return best practices, enhance injury management planning and undertake face to face interventions where required to support our customers.

**It will be your responsibility to**:

- Support customers, injured workers, clients and employers with the recovery, return to work (RTW) and return to health, undertaking RTW and treater conference visits where required (virtual and in person).
- Support case management of claims with regular claim conferencing with claims staff within the team.
- Ensure appropriate claims management within the team through proactive identification of recovery risk factors and strategies to mitigate impact on recovery.
- Lead the team in continuous improvement for RTW outcomes and best practice claims management.
- Reviewing requests and medical treatment - assessing reasonableness to help aid injured workers recovery and return to work.
- Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, medical professionals and Occupational Rehabilitation Providers throughout the injured workers recovery journey.
- Educate and inform stakeholders on the return to work process and legislative requirements.
- Provide effective and efficient claims administration to ensure that injured workers receive fair and accurate compensation in accordance with relevant legislation and GB service requirement.
- In liaison with internal stakeholders after the claim has been accepted, act as the key decision maker for all claims allocated.
- Facilitate and monitor medical and cost management strategies on claims, ensuring cost effectiveness for the purpose of sustainability of the scheme.
- Review ongoing entitlements in line with the relevant NSW Acts and claims manual.

**We’re looking for an enthusiastic, collaborative and customer centric individual who has**:

- Previous experience in a Return to Work / Claims Management or a Workers Compensation role.
- Knowledge of all available ‘Return to Work’ services for workers and employers.
- Demonstrated knowledge of relevant acts, legislation and work health benefits.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with experience in effectively dealing with customers in challenging situations.
- A strong customer focus with the ability to build rapport with customers and stakeholders.
- High attention to detail.
- A demonstrated drive for results with the ability to think strategically focusing on outcomes.
- A team player with the ability to work autonomously and as a team with a passion for coaching others.
- Industry specific qualifications / tertiary qualifications in an appropriate discipline (e.g. Allied Health, Social Science, Case Management, Occupational Rehabilitation).
