Anglicare’s Children & Families Services have a long history of providing family and children support services, including family intervention, foster, and kinship care, residential care, counselling, relationship support, and much more. Our Foster & Kinship Care Programs provide children and young people, who are not able to live with their own family, the opportunity to live in a safe and nurturing family environment.

**Caboolture office **is looking for a full-time
**Coordinator **for the Foster and Kinship Care team.
Overseeing our service delivery and providing guidance and supervision to Practitioners. The role will be responsible for the recruitment, training and ongoing support of your team - ensuring the program meets all legislative requirements and standards of the Department of Child Safety.
This is a permanent full-time role. Weekend and after-hours work may be required.

**About you**
A motivated and dedicated professional within the Foster and Kinship Care sector, your knowledge and background will include:
- Applied knowledge and understanding of child protection and out-of-home care frameworks, including knowledge of the Child Protection Act (1999) and relevant legislation
- Well-developed practice framework that is culturally sensitive
- An ability to manage and provide appropriate team leadership and reflective supervision to Practitioners
- Demonstrated experience as a Child Protection Practitioner, ideally within an out-of-home care context
- Demonstrated ability to respond appropriately in crisis situations including highly developed problem-solving, decision-making and negotiation skills
- Ability to develop and maintain a working relationship with the Department of Child Safety, Youth and Women (Child Safety Services) and other programs in order to enhance support to children and carers
- Proven ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
- Ability to advocate for children and carers and represent the agency at stakeholder forums
- Strong computer skills, including MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Relevant experience within a community service or similar organization (desired)
- An understanding of quality management and continuous improvement processes and the Human Service Quality Standards (desired)
- Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Social or Behavioural Sciences or similar field
- A valid Blue Card (Working with Children)
- Ability to qualify for a Licensed Care Service (LCS) clearance through personal history checks
- A current Queensland Driver License
- Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment (desired)
- Current COVID-19 vaccination certificate
