An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Planning Consultant to join Service Stream in our North Sydney
About the Role

Service Stream’s Telecommunications division are currently seeking a Full Time Planning Consultant, to join our telecommunications team. The Planning Consultant is responsible for obtaining all required town planning consents for each facility the SAED (Site Acquisition, Environment & Design) team undertake to acquire, upgrade or modify on behalf of our clients.

Nature of position: Permanent, Full Time

Location: North Sydney

Reporting Line: SAED Project Manager

Key Responsibilities
- Undertake planning reviews to determine planning/community issues that may impact on the site selection/feasibility and successful acquisition and scheduling of the site
- Review the different regulatory compliance regimes that need to be assessed in order to secure approvals for the Site Acquisition to the agreed timeframes
- Manage all town planning and regulatory requirements relating to the proposed installation or upgrade to the client deployment processes
- Manage individual sites from site selection through to obtaining all required town planning approvals, prepare all necessary documentation for lodgment with all relevant statutory consent and regulatory authorities
- Assess the different regulatory compliance regimes, determining the extent of consultation that is require and the appropriate planning and instrument and timing for the site
- Assist with the preparation and attendance for community consultations

About You
- Must have a high attention to detail
- Good interpersonal skills; advanced written and oral communication skills.
- Intermediate to advanced skills in the Microsoft Office suite
