Working with the **Engagement, Communication and Communities team **at GHD (Sydney), this exciting position will provide the opportunity to work in a variety of projects within both private and public sectors. As a **Social Planning Consultant **, you will be involved in:

- Supporting the preparation of various social research studies, including social impact assessments, social infrastructure needs assessments, and research reports that are incorporated into large, city-defining infrastructure projects.
- Undertaking social research including demographic analysis and community engagement.
- Preparing high quality written communication material including proposals, technical reports, and communication collateral.
- Developing and delivering best-practice community and stakeholder engagement strategies.
- Developing and maintaining relationships with Project Managers.

**What would you bring to the team?**
- General understanding of planning, approval processes and environmental issues.
- Excellent inter-personal skills with the ability to collaborate and work across multi-disciplinary teams.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent research skills including data analysis and reporting.
- Willingness to develop and learn within a growing team.
- A university degree in social research, planning, communications, environmental studies, or a related area.
