Our client is a leading mining client looking for a Junior Project Management Officer who has an interest in a career in project management. You will be responsible for overseeing PMO activities, resource management, demand planning, and reporting specifically focused on technology projects within the company.

**The role**:

- Manage and execute the day-to-day operations of the Project Management Office, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
- Allocate, monitor, and optimize resources for technology projects, ensuring efficient utilization and alignment with project priorities.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project demands, prioritize initiatives, and develop resource allocation strategies.

**About you**:

- Bachelor's degree in IT, or Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
- An interest in a career in project management within the technology sector, preferably within the mining or resource industry.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Certification in Project Management (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent) is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with a focus on fostering a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.
