We are a company on the move and with forecasted growth of L3Harris Space and Airborne Systems Australia we are now seeking to hire a Material Planner who will be responsible to meet customer delivery and engineering projects on time.

**What the role will involve**:
The Material Planner function will provide the following vital services to the Supply Chain / Procurement team:

- Forecast demand for finished products
- Determine required materials, based on the demand forecast, determine the types and quantities of raw materials, components, and other inputs required
- Collaborate with the Purchasing team to create a procurement plan
- Close collaboration with Stores, Purchasing and Production tracking the delivery of the ordered materials for on time delivery
- Adjust plans as needed, based on changes in demand, delays in material delivery, or other factors that affect the supply chain and production requirements.
- Evaluate performance after the production cycle is complete, evaluate performance against the plan, identifying any areas for improvement
- Maintain a continuous improvement mindset.

**What you’ll bring**

To be successful in this role and to best leverage the opportunities provided by L3Harris, some skills & experience ideal applicants will bring include;
- Extensive experience in a Materials Planning, inventory control capacity
- Awareness/understanding of Materials Planning and production activities within a quality-controlled setting
- Possess good interpersonal skills to be able to get along well with other workers (cohesion)
- Must have good coordination and organizational abilities to always deliver products on time to customers
- Experience with Lean Enterprise concepts/fundamentals
- Ability to read and prepare procedures and work instructions
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Accuracy, thoroughness, persistence and attention to detail
- Excellent data processing and spreadsheet processing skills
- Ability to prepare high level written reports to internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently
