A long established and progressive food manufacturing business based in Yandina on the beautiful Sunshine Coast has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Technical Manager to join their friendly and supportive team.

**Your new role**

The Technical Manager opportunity is an integral role in the site leadership team, responsible for the hands-on management of the Quality Assurance (QA) and the New Product Development (NPD) teams. A focus on continuous improvements and hands on management will see you undertake the following tasks:

- Overall responsibility and management of the NPD and QA team
- Work with the commercial team to interpret product briefs
- Lead the new product development, renovation, and cost saving projects
- Conduct NPD associated meetings with customers both pro-active presentations and client debriefs.
- Implement quality assurance activities, programs, and in-production testing
- Compliance and implementation of internal and external quality standards (GMP, HACCP, SQF, Organic, Kosher Halal etc.)
- Working knowledge of WH&S and Environmental legislation.
- Maintain strong communication with supply chain, production, and engineering to ensure a thorough understanding of new ingredients, packaging, and manufacturing technologies.

**What you'll need to succeed**

Ideally, you have:

- Extensive knowledge of Food Product Development, Quality Assurance Systems, and documentation
- People Management skills, experience managing NPD and QA teams in a food production environment.
- Strong analytical, communication (verbal and written) and influencing skills
- Customer oriented team building, leadership, and mentoring skills
- Advanced computer literacy
