**Job Description**:
Reporting to the IM Technical Systems Manager the IM Systems Specialist is responsible providing the appropriate technology to enable the individual Business Units.

This is a full-time permanent position based in our Brisbane Corporate Office with flexible working arrangements available.

The role will be rewarding and varied and will involve the following:

- Enable the Business strategy in conjunction with the Business Stakeholders.
- Understanding the overall IM strategy and the implications this may have for the business unit and communicate this to key stakeholders through ongoing engagement.
- Educating the business on the specific and high-risk legislation pertaining to these functional areas.
- Educating the IM organization on the direction of the business and aligning the IM strategy to the business direction.
- Partnering with senior management to identify and prioritise opportunities for utilising IM to achieve business goals.
- Ensuring that decisions and direction are aligned with the security policies and rules dictated by Anglo American PLC.
- Compile a 3 year+ Functional IM roadmap for the business unit’s initiatives through effective engagement with key stakeholders and allignment between Group T&S and Business Units.
- Ensure effective Mining Technical Systems license management to remain compliant.
- Following relevant forecasting processes for annual Mining Technical Systems Licence renewals.
- Compiling a fit for purpose blueprint and architecture for the business unit’s systems.
- Managing third party vendors and ensuring they are meeting or exceeding their contractual commitments for services and projects.
- Qualifications
- Relevant tertiary qualification.
- Extensive practical experience in a similar role/context.
- Demonstrated systems and business analysis skills.
- Demonstrated program management skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Advanced in analysing and identifying risk root causes and quantify potential business impacts.
- Understanding of spatial data.
- Ability to be able to work effectively and collaboratively in teams to achieve collective outcomes.
- Advanced skills to implement solutions to reduce level of exposure and risk.
