**Venue Services and Events Coordinator**
Are you a collaborative team player with experience in venue management within a heritage context? We are looking for a driven and passionate Venues Services Coordinator to join a leading NSW Government Executive Agency. You will be part of a diverse, professional and dynamic team that supports Museums of History HNSW (MHNSW) to achieve its goals.
**What the opportunity is**:
- Employment with Museums of History NSW, NSW Department of Enterprise, Investment and Trade.
- Clerk Grade 5/6- $110,711. Package includes salary ($89,707 - $98,982), employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.
- Full-time temporary employment up to one year
- The role will work across the Sydney area.
**What we do**
MHNSW brings together the museums, historic houses and associated collections previously in the care of Sydney Living Museums with the vast collection of more than 13 million items held by the former NSW State Archives. This includes one of the world’s most complete and important collections documenting colonisation.

**What you’ll do with us**
This role will manage the coordination and delivery of all commercial venue hire bookings across MHNSW Portfolio sites to ensure a superior hospitality experience and to maximise revenue and profitability from all bookings.

**What the essential requirements of the role are**
- Current Responsible Services of Alcohol (RSA) certificate.
- Experience working in venue management within a large heritage and or cultural context.
- Ability to manage lifting, carrying, standing, kneeling and moving around large sites in both internal and external environments.
**What you need to tell us - Targeted questions**:
- Detail a complex event you have managed successfully in a heritage venue. Describe the challenges, the solutions you developed, and your relationship management skills both within your organisation and commercial client to achieve a positive event outcome.
- Provide an example of when you have exceeded client expectations. Identify the strategies you used to enhance the clients experience.
