Our Distribution Centre is the heart of our business and plays a pivotal role in ensuring we have the right product in-store at the right time. Operating between 6:30am - 6:30pm our Distribution Centre crew are responsible for the Receiving, Warehousing, Processing, Picking & Packing and Dispatch of our product.

What’s your purpose and impact?

The Department Supervisor is responsible for leading their team and managing operations within their department. The Department Supervisor works closely with their Coordinator to ensure that daily plans are aligned with operational needs. They closely monitor workloads and productivity to ensure that department objectives and KPIs are being met.

**What do you need to be able to do?**:

- Develop daily and weekly team rosters which meet the operational needs of the business, including achievement of rostering KPI’s.
- Assist the DC Department Coordinator in workload planning, forecasting and recruitment.
- Create daily plans and allocate tasks based on workload, expectations, and requirements.
- Monitor, review and assess the team’s performance on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
- Review workload throughout the day and ensure resources are allocated appropriately.
- Regularly review department processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiencies.
- Provide clear and concise directions to team members to ensure they understand the daily priorities and what is required of them.
- Demonstrate effective leadership, ensuring that all team members within the department receive the required feedback, support, and training to enable them to meet operational and commercial objectives.
- Where required, conduct formal meetings to address performance, conduct or attendance related concerns, ensuring all conversations are documented appropriately and outcomes are discussed with the DC Department Coordinator before liaising with P&C.
- Identify and address unsafe behaviours and assist in the investigation of any safety related incidents. Where relevant, provide recommendations for corrective actions.
- Support loss prevention practices including checklists, audits, and locker checks. Report all relevant issues to the DC Department Coordinator and DC Manager.

**What qualifications / experiences do you need?**:

- Demonstrated experience in a leadership role, ideally in a warehouse environment.
- Experience in driving team members to meet targets and expectations (KPIs).
- An understanding of how to read and interpret data and metrics related to productivity and performance.
- A strong understanding of Workplace Health and Safety regulations and how that translates into City Beach being a safe place to work.
- Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to address and document any identified performance concerns.
- Experience building rosters while adhering to labour budgets.
- A strong understanding of rostering legislation and standards including scheduling rules and break entitlements.
- Ability to interpret legislative/award-based information and how it pertains to City Beach.
