**Role Description/Criteria**

An exciting opportunity is available to be a part of this dynamic team in our supportive school community. Only enthusiastic, dedicated and committed Learning Support Officers willing to work as part of this vibrant school need apply. Applicants with a suitable certificate in Education Support training or who are currently training toward achieving an Education Support certificate will be considered.

**Role Description/Criteria**

Applications are invited from suitably qualified (or undertaking training) Learning Support Officers with varying levels of experience for the following position to commence duties on **Tuesday, 28th January, 2025** (This start date could be negotiated to begin earlier in the 2024 school year if required by the successful applicant.)

This is a 12-month full time position. The tenure of the position also has the potential to become ongoing beyond 2025. This is for a five day per week LSO position. There is potential for only four days per week if this was beneficial toward the circumstances of the successful applicant.

Applicants will be expected to:

- Be highly motivated, committed, positive, friendly and enthusiastic
- Display effective communication and organisational skills with the ability to be proactive and resourceful.
- Work supportively with students and teachers in achieving the goals outlined in Personalised Learning Plans
- Provide support to teachers and assist students with their learning
- Record information regarding the progress of student learning
- Plan learning activities for students who require additional support in partnership with classroom teachers
- Maintain records of observations and adjustments
- Maintain confidentiality regarding the details of a student’s special needs and program
- Have a suitable certificate in Education Support training or be currently training toward achieving an Education Support certificate
