**About the Role**
UGL is seeking a passionate and experienced **HSE Manager** to join our team based in Perth CBD. This role is critical to ensuring the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental performance across our operations. You will play a key leadership role, driving a culture of safety excellence and proactive risk management.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Lead and manage HSE functions across multiple projects, ensuring compliance with UGL’s standards and relevant legislation.
- Provide expert advice and strategic direction to management and project teams on HSE matters.
- Develop, implement, and monitor HSE systems, policies, and initiatives to achieve zero-harm outcomes.
- Oversee and conduct incident investigations, risk assessments, and audits, delivering actionable recommendations.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, identifying and implementing best practices in safety and environmental management.
- Mentor and support HSE professionals within the team, enhancing capability and performance.
- Act as the primary HSE contact for internal and external stakeholders, building strong relationships and ensuring alignment with client expectations.

**About You**:

- Proven experience in a senior HSE role, preferably within oil & gas, construction, resources, or heavy industry sectors.
- Tertiary qualifications in Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
- Comprehensive knowledge of HSE legislation, standards, and risk management principles.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and drive cultural change.
- Proficiency in incident investigation methodologies and HSE management systems.
- Demonstrated ability to work in dynamic environments, balancing multiple priorities effectively.
- Ability and willingness to travel to sites for regular inspections, audits, and risk assessments to assist in maintaining a safe and sustainable environment.
