Experienced HSE Manager required for a PNG based mining project

**Your new company**

Your new company is a joint venture stabilisation project, working at a mine site based in Lihir in PNG.

**Your new role**

Your new role will see you working as a HSE Manager within the FIFO space, responsible for the organising, managing and monitoring of the Project Health and Safety systems.

As the HSE Manager, you will be accountable for:

- Preparing the contractual HS procedures, plans, Safe Work Method Statements and other relevant documents
- Participating in the organisation of the Project HS System
- Assisting the Project Manager in all HS matters
- Participating in the organisation of the Project training program
- Planning and carrying out training, meetings and inspections for HS activities (including Subcontractors’ activities and personnel)
- The nomination of HS officers
- Developing Accident/Lost time statistics
- Developing and implementing the safety program for the Project
- Improving the Project HS System

**What you'll need to succeed**

To be considered for this role you must have:

- A minimum of 5 years of HS project management experience of which a minimum of 3 years in a pipeline or geotechnical and soil mechanics field or equivalent
- Knowledge and experience in H & S standards and legislation
- Experience in team management
- Previous experience working across different cultures and maintaining key relationships
- Clear communicator, lead and provide direction and be proactive in the workplace
- Good computer skills including proficiency in Office 365, MS Project or Similar
- Strong people skills
