**About the role**:
Are you passionate about helping employees’ transition smoothly back to work after injury? Do you have a knack for coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure a safe and effective return-to-work process? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you as our Health & Wellbeing Advisor at our Support Office in Queensland.
In this position, you will play a crucial role in facilitating the return-to-work process for employees and implementing injury management programs to promote employee well-being and prevent workplace injuries.
You’ll also:
- Coordinate the return-to-work process for employees, including communicating with key stakeholders including insurers, leaders and health care providers
- Manage and coach teams on injury management best practice, including developing return-to-work plans, ensuring accurate recording of case notes in injury management systems and meeting all legislative return to work requirements
- Collaborate with managers and employees to identify workplace accommodations and modifications to support returning employees
- Ensure compliance in reporting and actions for workplace injuries according to governing bodies and insurers corrective actions
- Assist with facilitated training on injury management and return-to-work programs
- Maintain accurate records of injury reports and related documentation
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of injury management and return-to-work programs
- Stay updated on industry trends and regulations related to injury management and workplace safety
- Assist with the Employee Assistance Program and ensure accessibility
- Utilise problem-solving skills, clinical experience, and knowledge of injury management to assist in workplace assessments and facilitate the return-to-work of claimants
- Conduct worksite assessments and use lateral thinking and forward planning skills to identify potential return-to-work pathways in line with likely recovery milestones
**About you and your skills**:
- Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, Psychology, Rehabilitation Counselling, Nursing, Osteopathy or Social Workers
- Experience in self insured injury management practices highly regarded
- Ability to manage large portfolio of claims
- Ability to analyse and interpret data with an eye for detail
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
