**About the role**:
The Penske Australia Perth branch provides service support to our installed product base across Western Australia. An excellent career opportunity is available for an experienced **Diesel Mechanic** to join our Perth Field Service Team in the Pilbara, supporting a newly commissioned fleet of Bergen B3645V20 medium speed gas generators. This position will be offered as a fly-in fly-out roster to the FMG Iron Bridge Mine site, WA.

The main duties and responsibilities of the position include and are not limited to the following:

- Assist Bergen Engine (BEAS) technicians when required and oversee all Penske technicians onsite during major maintenance activities.
- Provide technical customer support and assistance as required.
- Compile high quality service reports for customers including warranty repairs.
- Ability to conduct scheduled maintenance tasks onsite as required.
- A strong commitment to safe working practices at all times.
- Drive product improvement initiatives, proactively reviewing service documentation and scheduled maintenance practices.

**The successful applicant will possess the following skills and attributes**:

- Hold appropriate trade qualifications and at least 5 years of experience in a related industry.
- Experience working on large engines is essential inclusive of diagnosis, service and major repair activity.
- Be self-motivated with a positive attitude and have the ability to work as part of a team.
- Possess an unwavering desire to provide leading service to Penske Australia customers.
- Demonstrate an ability to work professionally with a level of autonomy, interacting with the Perth based supervisory support team.
- Exhibit a track record of high-quality work, inclusive of completing tasks in a timely manner to a very high standard.
- Strong job report writing skills and attention to detail is required.
- Good communication skills for regular interaction with customers, colleagues and supervisors.
- Demonstrate prior experience in positively contributing to the ongoing growth of team success
