An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Cost Planner to join the Building team on a significant commercial project in Canberra.

The role:
In this highly collaborative role you will have the opportunity to assess project cost risks and opportunities including in design development, procurement, site agreement, escalation, driving the production of conceptual & detailed cost plans, estimates and value engineering, collaborate with Project Managers on design efficiencies and costings, monitor and contribute to design development through to issue of construction drawings and analysis of project and market information in relation to construction costs.

Your background:
- Proven experience as a cost planner, quantity surveyor or estimator is essential- Relevant qualifications such as a degree in construction management or quantity surveying- Strong communication, negotiation and time management skills will be highly valued- Ideally worked for other top or mid main contractors across a range of major building projects including retail, commercial, apartments and mixed developments
