We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Preschool Field Officer (PSFO) to join our Preschool Officer Team.
Fulltime permanent position based at Wantirna South

**Your new role**

The PSFO program works collaboratively across the Early Years Department in addition to supporting the Early Years Health and Wellbeing portfolio to complement other universal and specialist services that are available to support children’s leaving, development and wellbeing across the municipality. As a Preschool Field Officer you will promote inclusion within kindergarten programs across the municipality by recognising the diversity of all children. You will support Early Childhood Educators to create environments where all children are valued and experience a sense of belonging that leads to children being encouraged to reach their full potential in all areas of development alongside their peers.

This is an Early Education Employees Agreement (EEEA) PSFO 1.0-2.0 classified role, remuneration will be $122,400.00 to $125,399.00 gross per annum (based on experience), plus superannuation in accordance with the Superannuation Guarantee.

**What you will need to Thrive**
- Proven experience of providing quality children’s programs using a strength-based family-centred approach.
- Highly refined adult capacity strengthening skills.
- Highly developed communication skills (both written and oral) and highly developed interpersonal skills with a particular focus on strength based and customer focused approaches to successfully collaborate, liaise, persuade and negotiate with a range of stakeholders.
- Experience in the provision of services to children and families including dealing with people of diverse backgrounds, including those from CALD backgrounds, Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Island backgrounds, and families of children with additional needs or diagnosed disabilities.
- Ability to form and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders to develop referral pathways for families who are at risk or are experiencing disadvantage.
- Ability to plan effectively to support and link families to local support services.
