The position works closely with the Senior Ranger in the development and implementation of strategic work plans for all wildlife staff and has oversight of wildlife care practices, operational policies and procedures ensuring excellence in captive wildlife welfare, management, and daily care. Therefore, demonstrated capabilities and experience in delivery of captive wildlife training, conditioning, management, exhibit standards, and welfare are required. The position works both independently and as part of a small leadership team requiring strong communication, leadership, project, and process planning and resource management capabilities.
