**Role Details**: The Team Leader, Venue Operations leads a team responsible for the effective operational management of the facilities under the care and control of the Minister for Recreation, Sport and Racing. This position is responsible for the effective planning and delivery of the portfolio’s facility management and operations. This involves maintaining a clear planning, delivery and reporting structure, optimising portfolio benefits from the available resources, implementing procurement processes, administration of the Across Government Facility Management Agreement (AGFMA), contract management, and engagement with a range of stakeholders, government, not for profit and commercial. To achieve this, the role has line management of the Venue Operations team and is responsible for fostering team growth and training and the allocation of resources for facility event management, site inspections and contractor induction / coordination.
**Special Conditions**:
- The Incumbent will be required to participate in the department's Performance Management Program.
- The Incumbent may be assigned to another position at this remuneration level or equivalent.
- Some work outside of normal hours will be required.
- This role requires a working with children check.
- Current drivers licence essential.
**About the Department**:
The Office for Recreation, Sport and Racing (ORSR) is the lead agency for the Government’s policy on sport and active recreation. ORSR is responsible for State Government policy and legislation as it relates to the sector, its key programs, sport and recreation infrastructure and funding programs. The ORSR supports sport and recreation organisations, Councils and the community through the development of policy, programs and resources, the provision of funding, recreation and sport planning, infrastructure development, elite sport pathways and programs, and the promotion of physical activity.
**About the Business**: The Infrastructure and Planning division provides a strategic and integrated approach towards the development and delivery of recreation and sport infrastructure and works to build diversity, strength, capacity and sustainability with industry clients and the community. The division is responsible for a number of the State’s key sporting assets, including major sporting venues such as Adelaide Super-Drome and SA Athletics Stadium. It undertakes development planning, construction, project management, facilities management, and recreation trails development and management.
