**About the opportunity**
We are working with a learning institution that is undergoing a major Digital Transformation program and we have an opportunity for an experienced Solution Designer to join our team in Melbourne’s inner Eastern suburbs. This is an initial 6 month contract and a hybrid role with 2 days per week required onsite.
Working with a cross-functional team you will be responsible for high level and low level solution designs, work closely with various platform/delivery and external vendors, solution governance activities along with the Enterprise Architect and provide technical leadership from concept/impact assessments through to implementation and handover to operations. Strong focus on Integration for enterprise platforms such as HR and Finance management systems.
This is in an initial 6 month contract and is expected to go on as part of a significant transformation program so to qualify you will be able to demonstrate:
- Solid experience as a Solution Designer, conducting high level and low-level solution designs
- Background in Software Development with good grasp of Agile techniques
- Experience designing solutions across cloud technologies, cloud native and hybrid platforms
- Integration experience for enterprise platforms such as HR and Finance management systems with Service Integration Concepts (such as RESTFUL services/ SOAP based web services)
- Solid understanding of Application, Security and Data Architecture principles and patterns
- Capability to transform business requirements to solution design document/s covering functional and nonfunctional designs in alignment with best practices
- Broad knowledge of data integration patterns including legacy and cloud platform integration with knowledge of data integration platforms
- An open mindset with ability to innovate, influence and work in a growing environment
