**We are looking for**:
Byron Shire Council is currently seeking a Project Officer (Collaboration Lead). This role is a great opportunity to cultivate collaborative practice:

- Identify the social and wellbeing needs of the community and develop and implement policies, services, programs, and projects to achieve social change.
- Focus on disability, access and inclusion, homelessness, and community projects.
- Work with a variety of internal and community stakeholders through a responsive, flexible, collaborative, and innovative approach.
- Work independently and supportively as part of a multi-skilled team addressing complex social change.

**About you**:

- Relevant tertiary qualifications and demonstrated experience in Social Policy, Social Sciences, Community Development or related field.
- Ability to co-deliver projects, programs and/or services informed by collaboration and collective impact.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and lead strategic partnerships with diverse groups.
- High-level project management skills with the proven ability to meet agreed deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to think conceptually and analytically to develop policies and/or improve processes that meet the needs of the community.
- Excellent communication, consultation, engagement and negotiation skills with the ability to communicate effectively with key stakeholders including Councillors, management, staff and the community.
- Experience preparing research, reports, planning documents, and funding submissions.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and supportively as part of a multi-skilled team addressing community development needs.

**We offer**:

- A permanent, part time contract (28 hours per week)
- Flexible working arrangements (work from home option up to 2 days per week post onboarding can be negotiated)
- Salary and Conditions will be in accordance with the NSW Local Government (State) Award with an appointment at a salary in the range of $1,449.90 to $1,679.93 per 35 hour week (dependent upon skills and experience)

**Location**:
This position is based at Mullumbimby however Council can require you to work from other work sites as required for operational reasons.
