UX Designer

**What’s the role?**:
As our UX Architect you will support News Corp Australia's product strategy by designing, evaluating and improving digital solutions for consumers, advertisers and subscribers. You’ll be responsible for ensuring the project will deliver the business objectives, goals and KPIs.
- Work with product, delivery and design teams to assess project needs and develop appropriate UX scope and project plan to support their objectives
- Organise, facilitate and lead UX “Sprint” workshops. Work closely with Product Designers to prototype and test hypotheses with real users / consumers.
- Conduct research activities such as heuristics / expert reviews, user research, inspiration and competitor research to drive product development and decisions.
- Drive impact through multiple research methodologies and tools, including quantitative methods such as surveys, UX analytics (Hotjar / Crazy Egg), unmoderated user testing (UXtweak, Maze) and qualitative methods such as individual interviews, group sessions.
- Have a direct impact and work on your own multiple / concurrent research projects.
- Provide clear direction and guidance to other UX, design, and relevant project team members during the delivery of the UX artefact
- Work closely with data analysts to integrate qualitative insights with ongoing quantitative data such as Omniture data, A/B and multivariate testing
- Use user-centred design principles to ensure that UX methodologies are informed by a balanced understanding of target audiences, the business strategy and how content is discovered and consumed in the digital environment.
- Design the UX architecture, including the interaction, screen flows, wireframes and low fidelity mockups (using Figma) to effectively communicate how the experience of the digital product would work with thorough consideration of business requirements & technical limitations

**Who you are**:

- A minimum of 4 years experience working in a dedicated UX Design / UX Research roles
- Experience or demonstrated passion in designing digital experiences involving video content, streaming services and social media
- Design Thinker - clear demonstration of HCD / CCD approaches in their past work
- Strategic and methodical approach - able to plan tasks, and estimate costs and effort
- Demonstrated experience working in a complex / multidisciplinary project team alongside other roles (e.g. BA, Project Manager, Product Manager etc)
- Demonstrate ability to lead without authority, provide guidance and direction to other project team members
- Demonstrate superb interpersonal skills and strong ability to manage senior stakeholder expectations
- Excellent communicator (verbal and written) and a natural storyteller
- Demonstrate resilience, emotional intelligence and positive 'can do' attitude
- Able to deliver work independently but also collaborate in a team environment
