**Casual Disability Support Worker**

**About the role**

We are looking for male and female motivated, caring, and compassionate disability support workers in the Ipswich area. Our client is looking at someone that can assist with Behaviours of Concern/ PBSP Implementation, Personal Care & mobility assistance.

If you have experience working as a Disability Support Worker, are qualified with a minimum Cert III in Aged Care, supporting young people and adults or have great life experience. We would love to hear from you.

Availability and flexibility are vital

**What a normal day would look like**
- Understand the needs, goals, and daily activities of Participants.
- Use positive reinforcement and other techniques to support Participants in their daily routines.
- Develop meaningful and professional relationships with Participants and families.
- Assist with all manual handling and toileting, showers, meals, medication, cleaning and other tasks as required.
- Support daily planning, advocacy, communication and transport in community settings.

**Qualifications required**
- Must have a QLD driver’s licence and own reliable transport
- Current Paid employee Blue Card (or willing to obtain before employment)
- Current Paid employee Yellow Card/NDIS Worker Clearance (or willing to obtain before employment)
- Experience in managing CPAP and Catheter care
- Current First Aid & CPR (or willing to obtain before employment)
- NDIS ‘Worker Orientation’ module (or willing to obtain before employment)
- Full Australian working rights
- Smart phone with internet access
- Proof of vaccination against COVID-19
- Two current (within the past 2 years) professional references from a supervisor will be required
