We are seeking a talented individual to join our Mercer Financial Advice team at Mercer. This role will be based in Sydney or Melbourne. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working three days a week in the office.
**Team Lead, Adviser Support**
Team Leaders are responsible for managing a team of support staff, ensuring that the team achieves its stated client, administrative and related objectives. Team Leaders play a vital role in the strategic development of the team, in growing the team through the coaching and mentoring of support staff in streamlining of processes and adviser support and advice, promoting professionalism and the highest ethical standards in financial advice through their own actions and through the management of the team.
**We will count on you to**:
- Ensuring that each team member has clear goals and KPIs in place, including slated SLAs where appropriate
- Managing the day-to-day operations of the team and allocating resources effectively and fairly
- Ensuring professional development plans are in place and in particular, for high performers to facilitate career progression at Mercer
- Consistently supporting advisers in achieving Statement of Advice (SOA) turnaround time service standards and processes are efficiently executed
- Promoting and maintaining a positive culture throughout the team by encouraging a collaborative approach and by fostering effective teamwork
- Coaching and mentoring team members to maximise performance, leverage skills and strengths and ensure appropriate resource management.
- Developing and overseeing new opportunities to grow the business with exception client service to our client base, new referrals and a tighter admin management program across financial advice.
- Ensure processes allow advisers are spending time on revenue activities and support staff are seamlessly handling administrative duties
- Strategic focus is important to ensure support staff understand their role in the teams/advisers ability to win business, develop corporate clients and deliver innovative solutions that meet the needs of corporate and private clients.
- Achieving 100% adherence to Advice Standards and processes
- Tightly managing the requirements of our authorised representatives and representatives with zero tolerance for compliance breaches
- Minimum E&O outcomes
- Practice management of support staff through peer review, oversight of advice and attention to the manner in which they are managing clients and client outcomes
- Consistently uplifting processes within the team to ensure they are compliance by design.
**What you need to have**:
- Demonstrates excellent organisational and time management skills
- Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communications
- 5+ years in financial planning practice management
- Strong management and leadership skills
- Coaching and mentoring capability
- Multi-tasking
- Technically proficient in financial advice
