Due to significant growth and ongoing delivery success with our clients, Turner & Townsend's commercial division is looking for an Associate Director - Project Management to join our Canberra team.
Working within friendly, professional and highly successful teams and reporting to the relevant regional Director, you will work across various commercial projects.
**Job Description**:
- Establishes and maintains a client-focused environment
- Leads business development activities and provides communication and focus
- Supports client organisations to develop and deliver major projects and programs efficiently and effectively
- Managing the flow of project information between the team and the client, through regular meetings and written communications
- Taking a leading role in interfacing with the client and other consultants, at all project stages
- Taking responsibility for developing new business opportunities with existing and new Turner & Townsend clients
- Proactively takes strategic ideas and opportunities to our clients, and identifies new services that could add value
- Creates operational and strategic plans to ensure commercial goals are achieved, risks defined, and projects are on target
- Manages the delivery of team outputs in accordance with agreed time-scales and quality standards
**Qualifications**:
- Professionally qualified in one or more of the following fields: construction, cost management, engineering or project management
- Qualifications in Project Management or equivalent knowledge and experience
- Minimum 5 - 10 years’ project management, in a similar industry.
- A thorough understanding of the total project life cycle, from project conception stage, through all of the operational stages to completion and post-project review
- Excellent knowledge and experience of all of the main project management concepts, tools and techniques
- Experience of leading project management commissions for medium, large, sized construction projects of medium to high complexity
- Experience of working within a client-focused consultancy environment.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to work with staff at all levels
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong time management skills, quick thinking and resilience to deal with a fast-paced environment
