**About the Role**

Azuma is a leading fine dining Japanese restaurant located in the heart of Sydney’s CBD. We are currently seeking a professional and service-driven **Restaurant Supervisor** to support daily operations and oversee our front-of-house casual staff team.

**An understanding of Japanese language and culture is highly regarded**, as it enhances our ability to deliver an authentic guest experience aligned with the restaurant’s values and heritage.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Lead and supervise casual front-of-house staff during service periods.
- Coordinate shift rosters and adjust staffing based on operational requirements.
- Oversee staff attendance, timesheets, and adherence to workplace policies.
- Deliver high standards of guest service in line with Azuma’s fine dining expectations.
- Act as the primary point of contact during service, addressing customer queries and concerns professionally.
- Ensure front-of-house areas meet hygiene, safety, and presentation standards at all times.
- Work closely with senior management and kitchen leadership to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Provide coaching and support to new and existing casual team members.

**Qualifications and Experience**
- Minimum 1 years of experience in a supervisory or team leader role within a fine dining or high-end hospitality environment.
- Experience managing rosters, scheduling casual staff, and adapting to service demands.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with a calm and professional demeanor under pressure.
- Familiarity with POS systems and rostering tools (e.g., Deputy, Tanda).
- Availability to work evenings from Tuesday to Saturdays.
- **An understanding of Japanese language and culture is preferred**, particularly in the context of hospitality service.
