The role of Medical Informatics Advisor (Deputy CMIO) is a key clinical leadership role within the Digital Health division. The roles plays a pivotal part in healthcare delivery and information technology, providing expert advice and guidance on informatics related matters at Western Health.

As a distinguished clinical leader and leveraging your in-depth understanding of informatics and principles the Informatics, the Advisor's primary goals are to analyse Western Health’s current informatics systems and processes and identify areas for improvement and optimisation.

This role entails providing recommendations on the adoption of new technologies, data management strategies and information security measures, assisting with the selection and implementation of informatics solutions and keeping abreast of the latest developments and trends in the field of informatics.

To be successful in this role you will:

- Have a current AHPRA Registration
- Be familiar with Oracle Health EMR or an equivalent EMR system
- Have demonstrated history in quality improvement, workflow optimisation and orchestrating complex projects strategically, ensuring optimal results
- Have past experience in a tertiary hospital environment, displaying comprehensive understanding of clinical workflows in acute and sub-acute inpatient settings
- Be proficient in functioning autonomously and within a complex team environment
- Have demonstrated experience collaborating with internal and external professionals and stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes.
