Packer Leather manufactures performance leathers for the global market from its base in Narangba.

We are looking for a qualified Mechanical Tradesperson to maximize the performance of equipment in our fast-paced production environment.

There is a wide variety of equipment in the plant so you won't be stuck looking after just one or two pieces.

The range of operating plant on-site is unique in SEQ.

The successful applicant requires:

- Mechanical trade qualifications
- Proven fault finding and problem solving ability
- Reliability
- Physically fit and enthusiastic
- Adherence to OH&S regulations and procedures
- Attention to detail

Duties and responsibilities of the role will include but are not limited to:

- Fault finding & problem solving
- Ownership of tasks through to successful completion
- Communication with Operations regarding equipment and maintenance issues
- Implementation of preventative maintenance schedule
- Ensure all work is completed on time and in a safe manner

Desirable:

- Maintenance repairs within a fast paced manufacturing environment
- Welding/Fabrication Skills
- Forklift & EWP tickets
- Available to work out of hours including call outs and project work as required
- CMMS experience and computer literate
- Problem solving ability applied to automated equipment
- Pneumatic, hydraulic and pump experience
- Active involvement in continuous improvement and safety initiatives
