**ABOUT THE ROLE**:

- An exciting opportunity exists for highly motivated Health Information Services Clerks to join our Health Information Service team based at Werribee Mercy Hospital.Summary of the role:

- The Health Information Services Clerk performs an integral role in the provision of patient information to ensure it is available for patient care and decision making. This is achieved through the preparation and scanning of patient information for electronic viewing, management of historical physical medical record and quality activities associated with supporting a quality medical record.
- Full time permanent (76 hours per fortnight, or 80 hours per fortnght inculding ADO), applicants must be able to work Monday -Friday 9.30am to 6.00pm.

- To perform administrative duties of the Health Information Service, which includes preparation of paper-based documentation for scanning into the Scanned Medical Record.
- Use of scanning equipment to convert paperwork to digital images for viewing
- Undertake routine quality checks on documents scanned into the Scanned Medical Record.
- Retrieval, filing, tracking and maintenance of the physical paper record.

**ABOUT YOU**:

- Experience as a clerk/ receptionist within a health setting
- Proven organisational and time management skills
- Computer literacy and ability to troubleshoot
- Demonstrated ability to work in team environment and independently
