**About the role**:
We have a challenging permanent opportunity for a Maintenance Mechanical Coordinator to join our Lubricants Supply Chain team based at our manufacturing plant in Lytton, QLD.

This position will be responsible to plan, schedule, and execute all mechanical related maintenance and to drive safe and efficient work practices in the workplace.

**Responsibilities include**:

- Utilising MEX to drive best in class maintenance plans, contractor sourcing, inspection, test, and repair methods.
- Writing and authorising work permits, certificates, isolations and ensure contractor compliance with both contractual and OHS obligations.
- Monitoring and managing contractor costs, schedules and quality outcomes on maintenance, infrastructure, and reliability/maintenance work
- Collaborating with high calibre experts in Facility Engineering, E&I Maintenance Coordinator, Production Coordinators and Planners
- Communicating key information effectively and prioritising reactive and planned maintenance
- Minimising downtime by performing root cause analysis on equipment failures and driving a continuous improvement mindset.
- Be flexible in supporting maintenance and project activities outside normal hours of work with return of flexibility time as mutually agreed.

**About you**:

- Trade or Tertiary qualifications as a Mechanical Fitter or Welder, Reliability or Engineering
- Experience in maintenance in Manufacturing and FMCG facilities in a mechanical field will be advantageous.
- Proven people management skills and the ability to lead and motivate a team of contractors.
- Ability to make quick and calculated decisions based on data and knowledge on hand.
- Demonstrated cross functional approach to ensure best practice outcome.
- Strong achievement focus - high energy levels and commitment to results
- The ability to be hands on, if required.
