Adventure Team is seeking to hire experienced disability support worker to join our growing team in Brisbane. We are advertising for a casual support role with availability to start immediately.

**About Us**

Since forming in 2019, we’ve grown from a team of 2 on the Gold Coast in Queensland to many, and we are in the process of expanding our services in Brisbane. We are a disability support company, helping people living with disabilities through providing mentoring, group and respite services. As a team we are strongly driven to help others and offer personalized services centered around pushing boundaries, building hobbies and routine, and encouraging adventure.

**About the Opportunity**

We provide a fun and flexible environment. Adventure is at the heart of who we are and we love to operate outdoors and encourage our clients to discover their own passions and interests.

As a mentor, you will be supporting our clients with daily living and community access. We provide support in a variety of settings covering a broad range of needs and we work to ensure we match you, your interests, availability and skillset to the right person.

People are at the heart of our success and work. We are looking for reliable and motivated individuals who want to make a difference in the lives of others.

**Requirements**:

- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance or willingness to obtain before commencing work
- Working with Children Card (Blue Card)
- Covid-19 Vaccination Certificate
- Current, non-restricted open drivers licence or non-restricted provisional licence
- Roadworthy, registered and fully comprehensive insured vehicle
- Strong verbal communication skills

**Key Selection Criteria**
- Alignment with our holistic approach to services, built on a love for the outdoors, adventure and being active.
- Ability to multi-task and problem-solve effectively under high stress situations
- High level of interpersonal skills (written and verbal) with the ability to communicate in a professional and compassionate manner with clients from a wide range of backgrounds
- Ability to work autonomously, use your own initiative and be both proactive and adaptable

- Competitive above award rate for weekdays, plus additional penalty rates for weekends and public holidays
- A supportive and positive team with ongoing one-on-one training and mentoring provided
