This multi-site, large, purpose driven organisation that provides care to older people and services to the vulnerable has an opportunity to work as an integral member of their central HR team to manage and advise on the industrial/employment relations risks for the organisation.
Reporting to the GM HR & ER, you will be responsible for managing all the IR and ER risks, advising on EA/Award interpretation, and ensuring the organisation is meetings its legislative and policy obligations. You will also contribute to negotiating fit for purpose T&C’s for inclusion in new EA’s. Some of your activities will include:
- Establish and maintain networks and liaise with officers from other agencies, unions and external bodies to promote and monitor contemporary ER/IR matters.
- Provide leadership, analysis and advice to HRBP’s on complex cases, Award/EA interpretation and, as part of the EBA project team, inform negotiation strategy during bargaining.
- Develop and evaluate policy and procedures to effectively implement revised EA terms and conditions.
- Advise on employment contract clauses for identified roles and crafting plain English wording for employment contracts.
- Provide advice on EA/award interpretation and manage the annual award/EA pay rate & allowance updates.
- Advise and coach business partners and leaders on best practice employment relations.
