About the role
Our State Manager for Victoria leads a high-performing team, driving advocacy, stakeholder engagement, and member value initiatives for RACGP. You’ll manage faculty operations, develop advocacy strategies, and oversee key programs. Reporting to the Head of Member Experience, you’ll collaborate with councils, government, and key industry stakeholders.
**As our State Manager for Victoria, you'll also**:
lead advocacy and stakeholder engagement - develop and implement strategies to influence policy, support RACGP members, and strengthen relationships with government and industry stakeholders.
manage faculty operations and member engagement - oversee faculty activities, events, and initiatives that enhance member value and professional development. This includes working closely with the faculty council and its five subcommittees, involving frequent and regular out of hours activities.
drive strategic planning and reporting - align faculty priorities with RACGP’s objectives, track member needs, and ensure effective risk management and reporting.
lead and develop a high-performing team - foster collaboration, innovation, and professional growth while ensuring operational efficiency and financial performance
Skills & Experience
Strong knowledge of the Australian health system & policy.
Proven advocacy & stakeholder engagement experience.
Excellent communication & negotiation skills.
Leadership experience in a member-based organization.
