**About the opportunity**
Reporting to the Head of Audience Engagement, your key accountabilities will include:
- Leading a team of creative programmers and building a positive, inclusive and collaborative team culture
- Developing onsite and digital programs including tours, events, learning and schools programs, fellowships and cultural and member experiences for children and families, school groups, adults, Library members and donors
- Clearly defining and scoping program streams and major projects, managing programming budgets and supporting a financially sustainable program and customer service model
- Ensuring that programs are delivered within in the agreed time, budget and scope and within a seasonal operating rhythm
- Contributing the development of a three-year program plan and business model in line with the organisation's strategic plan
- Developing strong programming relationships through external networks and connections to identify and secure high-quality artistic talent and broker and deliver program partnerships
- Forming and driving project teams from across the Library, engaging with and allocating staff with specialist skills across major projects
- Embedding a process of continuous improvement using review points, audience data, landscape reviews to trial, iterate and improve creative initiatives

**About you**
- An accountable and collaborative leader with good cultural awareness
- Deep understanding of cultural programming, designing experiences within a learning and ideas context and creating in real life (IRL), online and hybrid programs
- Experience in the initiation and creative development of events, programs or cultural experiences in a relevant sector
- Knowledge and networks in cultural programming, learning and schools programming, artist engagement and creative partnerships
- A creative problem solver with a customer-centric mindset
- Excellent project management skills
- Outstanding stakeholder management skills
- A recognised tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline or appropriate professional experience
- A valid Working with Children Check card or ability to obtain one prior to commencement
