**Ovolo Woolloomooloo** is the brand's flagship Australian hotel, located in Sydney's idyllic harbourside suburb of... (dramatic drum roll) Woolloomooloo. Nestled in the heart of the popular wharf precinct, a short walk to the city's central business district, the hotel is surrounded by a wide selection of much-loved dining and nightlife options. Ovolo Woolloomooloo features 100 guest rooms, a state-of-the-art gym, meeting rooms and events spaces, a swimming pool, and Bar Woolloomooloo.

**The Gig**

We are currently on the lookout for our next **Kitchen Attendant**to join our fun and exciting team at Ovolo This position will be Reporting to the Executive Sous Chef, you will be a motivated person with a positive attitude who has an interest cleanliness of the kitchen’s facilities up to government and company sanitation standards. They clean all kitchen surfaces, mop and sweep kitchen floors, put away dishes, pots and pans, organize food, clean out freezers, and remove trash. We are looking for **Casual**position and will require flexibility within your availability. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
**Wash Dishes**

The main component of this role is to hygienically clean crockery, cutlery, glassware and other kitchen equipment using both commercial dishwashers and by hand. You ensure that all dishes are adequately sanitized by maintaining required water temperature and chemical levels.

**Assist with Food Preparation**

You may assist line cooks by completing food preparation tasks. This can include everything from organizing the refrigerator and freezer to chopping vegetables, washing fruit, defrosting meat, and preparing sauces and marinades. You may fully prepare dishes that require little to no cooking, such as salads.

**Maintain Kitchen**

In order to maintain the kitchen, you ensure sure that all appliances and cooking equipment are properly used and maintained. And lastly, Rubbish removal, sweeping and mopping of kitchen floors to ensure ongoing cleanliness & kitchen Hygiene.

Most Kitchen Hands have stayed beyond this role and are taken on as Apprentice Chefs...Really its up to you on where you want to take your career...
