**Head of Languages**
Melbourne Grammar School is seeking an inspirational educational leader to join us as Head of Languages, commencing in 2026, based at our South Yarra campus. This is a permanent, full-time teaching position, with the Head of Languages role offered with a 5-year tenure, as a position of responsibility.
The Head of Languages is primarily responsible for the vision of the future development of the Language Programs, overseeing the planning, scope and sequencing of curriculum development and delivery of Chinese, French, Latin and Japanese across the School, with particular responsibility for the Senior School programs.
**You will be responsible for**:
- Shaping and communicating a clear vision for the Languages Faculty that inspires curiosity, confidence, and a passion for language learning.
- Leading innovation and continuous improvement in language programs, ensuring they remain dynamic, challenging, and engaging for all students.
- Guiding and supporting staff through collaboration, professional growth, and the development of effective language learning pathways from Year 7 to VCE.
- Fostering a culture of teamwork, open communication, and shared achievement within the Faculty.
- Building an inclusive and vibrant community through co-curricular activities, events, and active engagement with staff, students, and families, ensuring language learning is valued and celebrated.
- VIT Registration, or the ability to gain VIT registration, is essential for this position._
