**The Role**
We are searching for a motivated, professional and experienced applicant to join the Directorate of Maintenance Services team based at Victoria Barracks Melbourne. This APS 6 Logistics Officer position will be one of a small team of National Product Officers responsible for the maintenance activities and associated budgets required to maintain a select portfolio of Defence assets.

The successful applicant will provide the key interface between the regional Joint Logistics Units, the Industry Partner executive team and the relevant Sustainment and Capability Managers for the assets within their portfolio. The role requires an understanding of, or ability to quickly learn the Defence Capability Lifecycle and proven budget management experience to manage multiple individual asset budget lines.

**About our Team**
The Directorate of Maintenance Services is part of Logistics Operations Branch within Joint Logistics Command. We provide logistics services to support ADF operations and exercises both domestically and overseas.

Our key function is to nationally manage the regional delivery of maintenance services, through our industry partners and a network of Joint Logistics Units across Australia.

Maintenance Services are provided for a wide range of Defence's Land, Air and Marine assets, comprising all levels of activity from scheduled servicing to heavy grade repair and supporting functions, which may be conducted by the in-house industry partner or a wide network of external small to medium enterprises.
- Experience in logistics service delivery and asset management;
- Strong budget management experience in order to deliver required maintenance outcomes;
- Proven ability to manage priorities and meet desired outcomes;
- Be a relationship builder and ability to work both in a team environment and closely with external stakeholders with strong written and oral communication skills;
- Sound Analytical skills and judgement to contribute recommendations to logistics issues, efficiencies and improvements;
- An understanding of the Defence's Capability Lifecycle, Supply Chain, Logistics Systems (incl. SAP S4 HANA) and maintenance philosophies would be beneficial but not essential.
