**About the Role**:
As the Computer Assistant you will have responsibility for the following:

- Undertake regular maintenance and routine repairs of all computers and associated equipment throughout the school.
- Assist in the installation of new equipment and software.
- Assist in the avoidance of problems and monitor the safety of your working environment by ensuring measures are implemented for the correct operation of equipment.
- Provide technical input and assist in networking computers and associated equipment.
- Assist in developing and implementation of procedures and guidelines for the correct and safe operation of computing equipment.
- Order parts and computer stocks, as required, and maintain equipment records.
- Maintain tools and equipment for repair services.
- Operate and maintain the ICT helpdesk.
- Provide 1st and 2nd level IT Support.
- Liaise as required with Service Centre, System Technicians and external ICT support technicians.
- Continually learn new EQ technical developments.

**The following skills and attributes will be highly regarded**:

- Orange card holder or able to to immdeiately obtain one
- Application Deployment, MS Office, Autodesk, Adobe CS, Various Curriculum Software
- MOE, C4T- Building and Deploying Images
- Mac OS, iOS
- Networked Printer Management, Software and hardware
- OneSchool, OAMPS and ID Attend

When working in regulated employment an employee must have a current Working with Children Clearance (blue card) issued by Blue Card Services.
