Join us as Business Development Manager for Service Division in Motion Business Area where you will be responsible for delivering lifecycle service sales for our Motion Drives Business. You will be responsible for the implementation of strategic sales goals, operational targets, and their achievement to maximize growth and financial results in your region consisting of VIC, TAS & SA. Reporting to Service Sales Manager this position will be based in Notting Hill, Australia.
**Your responsibilities**:
- Maintaining customer relationships and enhancing customers’ understanding of ABBs’ full product offering
- Managing existing customers in addition to new business development through lead generation and opportunity development
- Planning sales opportunities through use of Sales Force, preparing sales plans, and performing status reviews
- Partnering with Local Business Unit team members (also Front-End Sales functions) for assigned customers to maximize profits
- Ensuring successful outcomes of transactions, contracts and proposals through effective product/solution presentations and negotiations
- Preparing offers in coordination with the bid and proposal department and ensuring appropriate technical and financial aspects of offers are adhered to
- Following the zero-harm policy and process and ensuring safe working procedures and practices are always followed
**Your background**:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a product and service sales development role and be able to demonstrate a strong track record working across end customers, OEMs, EPC’s, and channel partners
- Good technical understanding of Medium Voltage and Low Voltage Drives & Motor products so relevant Industry exposure is preferred. You must be able to communicate effectively and be able to build strong relationships at all levels internally and within customer organizations
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to work autonomously without supervision is essential for success in the role
- Highly organized, with the ability to priorities and plan jobs to meet customer requirements within agreed timeframes
