**About Us**

**Mamre** is one of Brisbane's longest-running disability support providers. As a not-for-profit organisation, we work to give back to our community and empower the individuals we support with the skills and resources to live the life they choose.

**About You**

We are looking for Support workers who are passionate about making a difference and supporting our clients to live the life they choose.

There are multiple shifts available at Inner Brisbane and Surrounding Suburbs** - The Gap, Everton Hills, Everton Park, Wilston, Enoggera, Paddington, Carina and Greenslopes.**

Preference shall be given to staff who can do most of these locations and able to do at least **30 - 40 hours per week**.

**Your main duties and responsibilities will include**:

- _Activities of daily living_- personal hygiene, dressing, eating/feeding, toileting or assistance with continence aids and transferring/mobility assistance which may include manual handling
- _Domestic assistance_ - cleaning, cooking, laundry, gardening
- _Community access_ - driving to medical appointments, social activities, shopping, leisure drive/outings, school drop-off and pick-up/school holiday activities
- _Hobbies/interests_ - supporting/introducing activities like arts and crafts, sports, collections, learning new skills/technology, reading/tutoring, love for animals, good conversations, companionship

**QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE/LICENCE**
- Relevant qualifications in healthcare (Individual Support, Disability, Community Services, Aged Care, Nursing) highly regarded, or
- Relevant experience caring for people with a Disability, Mental Health condition, or Complex / Multiple care needs preferred
- Current Blue Card and Yellow Card/NDIS Worker Screening Card or willingness to obtain
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate or willingness to obtain
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate
- Updated COVID-19 Vaccination
- Current Driver's licence with a registered/reliable vehicle and comprehensive insurance
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally, non-verbally and written form
- Basic computer skills

**Desirable**:

- Experience in the following skills/conditions is an advantage:_
- Good understanding of Positive Behaviour Support Plans and Restrictive Practice
- Medication assistance
- Manual handling - hoisting/slide sheets
- Catheter care - highly preferrable
- PEG feeding
- Seizure management
- Stoma care
- Experience caring for people with the following disability are preferred:_
- Autism Spectrum Disorder
- Acquired Brain Injury
- Intellectual disability
