**Pay: $650 - $750 / day + super**

**Location: Hybrid arrangement of Onsite & WFH (Sydney NSW)**

**Primary purpose of the role**
Provide support on Emergency Preparedness activities in order to identify, develop, and implement enterprise systems, processes and programs to meet applicable regulatory and operational requirements and mitigating safety risks.

**Key accountabilities**
- Support the Manager, BCP and Emergency Preparedness in the development of Disaster Recovery Plans, Site Incident Management Plans.
- As part of the BCM teamwork with each Directorates nominated safety professionals to implement emergency preparedness plans and programs and provide timely and accurate advice to the Manager of Emergency Preparedness and Director Safety and Standards on issues and the status of projects.
- Provide direction, coaching and support to business unit managers across the department concerning the development and implementation of emergency preparedness training and exercises and prepare reports to executive management on the same.
- Coordinate the training of incident and emergency management teams.
- Work in accordance with the requirements of the Safety Management System (SMS) to nurture a generative safety culture delivers positive safety outcomes for the organisation.
- Execute safety responsibilities, authorities and accountabilities consistent with the organisation’s safety management system requirements.

**Essential requirements**
- Tertiary qualifications in a emergency preparedness related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Recognition as an expert in the field of risk with extensive experience and proven capabilities to manage risk/safety across a large organisation and work across organisational boundaries to achieve outcomes.
- Understanding of emergency/incident management arrangements in NSW.
